Pilkington, 40ft a National Historic Vessel, rigged as a Gaff Yawl and resides in France. She is the last known of the Southport Prawners. Built on a beach in 1900, by the Wright & Sons, as trade for prawns declined so the vessels that were built were sold off or converted into yachts. Blue Trout is No. 1007 on the National Register of Historic Vessels, she is an important part of Britain’s maritime yachting heritage. She is a design by NE Dallimore. when built by Kings of Burnham, 1937 she was the largest private yacht to have been commissioned and built by the Boatyard.
